ASN 6.0 Training Seminars

ASN 6.0 Operator Training (1 day)

Training designed for those personnel responsible for monitoring installation alarms, acknowledging and interpreting alarms, and determining appropriate dispatch responses.  The course covers all functions of the ASN Monitoring: Overview of ASN features, Overview of Software Applications, and Overview of ASN Terminology. Theory of Communication between field sensors and ASN Monitoring Computer via the control panel is also covered.  Alarm Code Display and Operator Commands in iMonitor are discussed, as well as monitoring functions within iGraphics.

CCTV monitoring is covered during the Operator Training.  Monitoring personnel will learn about Assessment video, surveillance video, as well as video retrieval from the Advantor VMS.

A written certification exam is administered at the end of the class.

ASN 6.0 Administrator Training (3 days)

The ASN Administrator Seminar is designed for those responsible for overseeing the ASN Environment; operator management, issuing PINs to Facility Users, Panel Programming, Report Generation, etc. The course covers all functions required of the ASN System Administrator, including: Overview of ASN Administrator Features, Overview of Software Applications, Overview of Terminology, ASN Upper Level System Configuration, ASN Operator Management, Building Database of Operator Actions, Advantor Panel Programming, Managing Facility Users, Generating Reports, and Data Backup.

Pass and ID Layout and Administration are covered during this seminar.

Administration of the Advantor Video Management system is covered during the ASN 6.0 Administrator Seminar.  In addition to VMS Operation, topics covered in the VMS Administrator course include:  Camera configuration, Configuring the vMX Video Wall, Operator and roles management, Reviewing the Audit Log, and Basic system troubleshooting.
Students planning to attend the ASN 6.0 Administrator Seminar are strongly urged to attend the ASN 6.0 Operator Seminar prior to taking this class.

A written as well as practical certification exam is administered to all attendees

ASN 6.0 Central Station Maintenance (1 day)

This seminar should be attended by those personnel responsible for maintaining Advantor servers and workstations and other central station communication equipment (Typically, ASN System Administrator and any other Maintenance Personnel).  The course covers:  Detailed description of all Head End Database Servers, Monitoring Equipment, Communication Equipment, and Video Management Equipment.  Theory of operation of all Head End Equipment, Troubleshooting procedures, and Preventive Maintenance procedures are covered during this class.

This seminar is designed for support personnel responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Advantor Suite for Networks servers, workstations, and video servers.  Configuration information and requirements are discussed for computers and consoles, particular to AF Certified Systems.

Students planning to attend the ASN 6.0 Central Station Maintenance Seminar are strongly urged to attend the ASN 6.0 Administrator Seminar prior to taking this class.

A written as well as practical certification exam is administered to all attendees.
